The opensource StarDict
is a very resourceful dictionary, letting you combine several
dictionaries databases in one application. With StarDict you can search
for the definition of a word, its pronounciation (valid mainly for
English words), and even have text translated using Google's service.
StarDict is free and can be installed on Linux and Windows machines. Download the program here and find several dictionaries for download here.
