The world's second largest computer maker Dell, announced today that it will lstart selling computers with Linux pre-installed. Users can now choose which operating systems they want on their computers.
At the beginning of this year, the company did a survey with 100,000 people asking their preferences for operating systems. The campaign known as IdeaStorm lets users give their opinion about several ideas to the company. More then 70% of the participants answered they would use Linux. It has not yet been informed which Linux edition will be used or in which computers it will be made available. The company will bring further news in the coming weeks. The company informed at their site: "your voice has been heard." Dell won its place on the market as being innovators. The computer sold at Dell is made to order for each client. For example, when I choose my Dell computer, I can select different HDs, memmory cards, video cards, etc. This decision comes to confirm what Dell has always been doing, listen to their clients and adapt itself to their clients' needs.
